Ironbach Bike Travels English
Sardinia, one of the most exotic islands in Italy, is a winning combination of sea and mountains, excellent weather, low altitude but breathtaking mountain ridges, countryside scenery, blossoming fields, fine cuisine, wonderful hospitality and smiling locals.
Sardinia is a heaven for bike riders. Our trip will take us to the heart of one of Europe’s oldest lands, through mountains sculpted beautifully by nature, with deep canyons and untouched forests, enabling us to discover nature in its wildest form, with unique archeological remains and traditions rooted in the beginning of history.
Sardinia is still, fortunately, simple, conservative, not overly crowded, and extraordinarily hospitable. The island itself is also relatively small, making it ideal for a shore to shore bike ride.
We start out in Olbia in the North, and finish in Cagliari, the island’s most Southern point.
Highlights include: the decline towards Cala Gonone, where the mountain meets the sea, the Supramonte mountain range above Oliena, the Giara nature park, and the magnificent southern shore on the last day of riding.
Accommodation in family-run hotels, guest-houses and 2-3 hotels.
The trip lasts for 10 days.
